Organizing Ideas For The Weekend: More Awkward Kitchen Cabinet Ideas!

Happy Friday!  Time for another organizing idea for your weekend!

Earlier this week I shared some tips for organizing awkward or hard-to-reach cabinets in your kitchen.  But since my kitchen may not have the same awkward cabinets as yours, I wanted to show you some more ideas I found on Pinterest.

Hopefully these ideas will help for any "challenging" spots in your kitchen that may not have been covered yet in my kitchen organizing tips series!

Tips for Organizing Awkward and Hard-to-Reach Places in Your Kitchen

What do you store in your "hard-to-reach" cabinets?  You know those awkward cabinets like the one above your fridge that you can hardly reach?  Or cabinets with vents in them?  What about the shallow drawer under your stove?

I've shown you most of my kitchen cabinets now and I've shared LOTS of tips already.  Today I want to show you my over-the-fridge cabinet, my over-the-microwave cabinet, and the drawer under my stove, and give a couple more tips to help you organize those awkward and hard-to-reach places in your kitchen.

365 in 365 Declutter Challenge: February Update

How is your decluttering going?  It's the 56th day of the year today so your target for 365 Items in 365 Days is to have purged 56 items by now.  Don't worry if you're behind though... there's still lots of time to declutter!

Our 365 Items in 365 Days Facebook group has been growing a lot lately!  It's so exciting to be part of such an encouraging and motivating group of people who are all decluttering their homes and their lives.

I've been a little quiet on the blog here lately... and that's because in addition to the purging I'm doing in my own home, I've been busy the last 2 weeks helping both a colleague and my parents declutter their homes in preparation for selling, staging, and moving in the near future.  They've all done a fabulous job and it's rewarding to be able to help them achieve their decluttering goals.  I really can't say which I like more... decluttering my own home or helping others declutter theirs!

But since it's nearly the end of the month, here's my February update on everything I've purged in the last month!

Tips for Organizing Under The Kitchen Sink

Is the cabinet under your kitchen sink a catch-all for anything you don't know where else to store?  Do you find it hard to organize because of the odd shaped pipes and tubes? Are you afraid to look under your sink because an avalanche of stuff may fall out?

Under your kitchen sink is an obvious place to store dish-washing and kitchen cleaning products and supplies.  Many people have garbage cans and recycling containers under their kitchen sinks too.

But what else is hiding there?  Is there someplace else those items can be stored so the space under your kitchen sink will be more useful?

Today, I'm continuing my kitchen organizing tips series, sharing organizing tips to maximize the awkward space under your kitchen sink.

Organizing Ideas For The Weekend: School Lunch Containers

Happy Friday!  Time for another organizing idea for your weekend!

Is making school lunches one of your least favourite chores?  Maybe you started out all gung ho in September, but as the year progresses it's becoming more tedious to get those lunches packed every day.

For many people, it's hard to come up with creative and nutritional food ideas that your kids will actually eat.  Well, I'm not a food blog, so I'm not going to share ideas for what to pack in your kids' lunches.

But, one way you can simplify the process of packing lunches is to have all your lunch containers organized.  It will save you time and ease your frustration so you can focus on the actual meal you're sending with your kids!
