Well how are you? It's been awhile! I hadn't planned to take a break from blogging all summer, but if you've been around here for awhile then you know me... I kind of blog in spurts. And I always have great intentions for blogging in the summer, but they never seem to happen quite like I picture them. No excuses really... I was just a lot busier than I thought I'd be!
A Quick Look Back at Our Summer
We had a family wedding (my sister-in-law and now brother-in-law). My son and daughter were in the wedding party, my hubby read and spoke during the ceremony, and I helped coordinate lots of little details so the bride could enjoy her day. It was a wonderful day! And don't we look nice all dressed up?!
We did a lot of cheering for Team Canada at the PanAm and ParaPanAm games! Baseball, gymnastics, and beach volleyball at the PanAm games. And sitting volleyball, swimming, cycling, goal ball, and athletics at the ParaPanAm games. It was great having them so close to us. And it was a wonderful learning experience for all of us. If you haven't heard of some of those sports... check them out... the athletes are so inspiring!
Our summer was filled with baseball again! My son's team came second for the season, but lost in the playoffs. The disappointment of the team losing was offset a bit though because my son won the sportsmanship award for his team :) As soon as the coach said the winner was someone who lived and breathed baseball, we knew he was talking about my son! We're so proud of him. And everyone on his team. It's great when all the families enjoy being together and end up becoming friends.
And in addition to my son's baseball, we've been cheering on our Toronto Blue Jays too! They're doing so well and we've enjoyed going to several games. Go Jays Go!
There were also trips to the park, camping trips, and plenty of crafts, games, and reading this summer.
And we had our annual tradition of watching the sun rise near the end of summer.
It was a great summer and I'm sad to see it go :(
A Peek Ahead to Fall on the Blog
And now we're back to fall routines with school (including a big adjustment as my son started middle school), fall activities, and cooler temperatures. I'm working with organizing clients again and looking forward to what I have planned this fall for the blog.
While it was a great summer, I really missed you!! I'm grateful for social media because at least I can keep in touch with you there. I didn't keep up all my social media channels the last few months, but I was pretty active on Facebook, sharing decluttering and organizing tips with you, as well as some of what we were up to.
And I'm so glad to have such a great community in the 365 Items in 365 Days Facebook group! You all rocked it with your decluttering the last few months and I love being part of your decluttering and organizing journeys!
I did lots of decluttering this summer too... you'll see a blog post on that at some point. And a few organizing projects around here... there will be some posts on them this fall too. And I did some behind-the-scenes work on the blog. Nothing really blog worthy there though.
But I am SUPER excited to be launching another 31 Days series tomorrow!! I've been working on ideas for this one for most of the year :)
Here's a sneak peek just for you...
Whether you need to do a lot of decluttering or just a little, this challenge will be perfect for you. It will start with a few quick decluttering tips, and then for most of the month, I'll be sharing ideas of things you can declutter that start with the letter of the day. You can declutter anything you want from the list, or come up with your own ideas! We've done this challenge twice this year in the 365 Items in 365 Days group and it's been a ton of fun :)
So tell your friends! And get ready for the Decluttering From A To Z challenge! The fun starts tomorrow morning.
And get ready for 31 days of blog posts! Yep... after 3 months of not blogging I'll be posting every day for a month. Told you I blog in spurts :)
How was your summer? What are you up to this fall? Are you going to join the Decluttering From A To Z challenge?
I link up at these great parties - Check them out!
