April Family Goals Printable and April Blog Goals

Wow!  It's April!  It still feels like winter here in Ontario (although we had a few tastes of spring-like weather on the weekend!) but I'm hopeful that by the end of this month we'll be firmly into the spring season.

I'm here today to share the April Family Goals sheet with you.  A few months ago I posted about how we use our monthly family goals sheet and I plan to share a new one each month so you can also create a monthly goals page in your family.

The spring flowers on March's goal sheet really helped cheer me up in those last weeks of winter and I'm looking forward to seeing lots of green sprouting over the coming weeks.  So I chose a pretty green border this month :)

I really hope this page helps you achieve your goals this month in your family!

OK, on to the second part of this post... my monthly goals for the blog.

Last month I told you that I would be changing up how I do these review posts.  Instead of all the stats and reflecting back, I'm just going to be looking at the month ahead.  If you're new to the blog and would like to catch up on some of my older posts, you can view the monthly reviews here.

I'd still love some input from you on what you like or don't like about month-end posts.

I'm 2 for 3 on the goals I set last month.  My "office" is organized (YAY!!) and I was much better at replying to comments on the blog.  I'm slowly going back and replying to old comments too.  I also took some steps to streamline the process of reading and replying to comments (both on the blog and by email when possible) so that's really helped me achieve this goal.

Here are my goals for April:

  1. Introduce a de-cluttering challenge that you will all be able to join in on (this is a carry-over goal from March but I plan to start it in April!).
  2. Write my first guest post (unfortunately I had to cancel out on the one in March).
  3. Organize our upstairs bathroom and share bathroom organizing tips on the blog.
  4. Complete some blog maintenance tasks {Can I write a more vague goal?!  Don't worry, I know what things I want to do but it's kind of tedious to list them here :)}.

I know April is going to be a really busy month for me and for our family, so I'm not planning any major organizing projects.  If time allows I'll organize more than one bathroom, but I want to be realistic so I don't beat myself up at the end of the month :)

And I teased you last month about some exciting news coming up.  It hasn't happened yet so I can't tell you much more, but as soon I'm able to, I will definitely fill you in :)

So, what are your family, personal, or blog goals for April?  And what do you think about monthly review or monthly goals posts?  Please leave me a comment with your suggestions about them.

Happy organizing!

  1. I think a few stats about the previous month plus goals for the upcoming month would be good. I've always liked the idea of your monthly recaps, and was thinking about doing that on my blog. Maybe instead of so many stats, just highlight your most popular post for the month (or two if it was close), and if there's anything else unique that happened, like if one of your posts was shared the most or pinned a ton on Pinterest, or had a lot more comments than the rest. Just to highlight the top two or three things that might be of interest to a new reader or someone who doesn't check the blog too often.

  2. I'm having a hard time believing it is April - I'm a few hours north of Toronto and it is so windy and cold today. :(

I just found your blog while surfing through Google+ and am a new follower through GFC. So happy to have found your blog! Lots of great tips on getting organized. I'm trying to stay clutter free in a small space. Having goals helps for sure! :)
