This week marks my third anniversary of blogging here on From Overwhelmed To Organized!  I can't believe it's been 3 years since I started sharing my decluttering and organizing journey along with tips to help you declutter and organize your home.  Time has flown by.

{Oh and in case you've been wondering where I've been lately... I was on a pretty much offline vacation, and then since our return I've been trying hard not to be overwhelmed in the midst of end of year ballet activities overlapping with the beginning of the baseball season, a house full of people with colds and allergies, working with lots of organizing clients, and keeping up (or not!) with the usual family and home responsibilities. Blogging has had to take a back seat temporarily but don't worry... I'll be back to regular blogging soon!}

It's been an exciting year!  Here are just a few of my highlights:

If you read the last post on Thursday, you saw my confession... how I'd planned to finish all these posts before I left for vacation and schedule them to publish while I was away... which didn't happen.  And at the time I published that post (nearly a day late) I said the next one was coming right away... and that didn't happen either.

Friday was a whirlwind of getting every last memory made that we could while we were at Disney World, packing all our stuff, loading up the van, and beginning the long drive back home (through the night!).  I don't know when I thought I was going to publish the 5th Flashback post in there, but obviously I didn't get it done.  We arrived back late on Saturday, exhausted, and fell right into bed after unpacking the van and a few necessities.  {Is it possible I'm getting too old for all-nighters?!}  Yesterday was filled with more unpacking, several family gatherings, and another early bedtime.  So here we are... with the 5th Flashback post... on Monday!

The good news for you is that I'm going to extend the giveaway!  Instead of having it finish tonight, I'm going to extend it to Thursday night, so more of you can enter.

This week to celebrate my first year blogiversary, I've been sharing some of my favourite and most popular posts from the past year.

It's been fun looking back at the past year and I hope you've enjoyed this trip down memory lane too!  Or if you're a relatively new follower, hopefully you've enjoyed some posts that were new to you!

How to Feel Less Overwhelmed This Christmas {and a Giveaway}

A few weeks ago I told you that I'm starting my Christmas preparations earlier than usual this year so that I can enjoy this season more than I have in the past.  So far it's working!

Most of my Christmas shopping is finished, mainly because we bought things on sale throughout the year.  I just need a few more things for stockings and a couple gifts for people I only recently decided to give a gift to this year.

I've been purging all over the house so the house feels less cluttered with all the Christmas decorations and to make space for the new things we'll be receiving in a few weeks.

We completed a deep cleaning of the house last weekend (it's so much easier after purging and before decorating!).  It will still need maintaining between now and Christmas but we won't need to do as thorough a job.

A Simpler Season & My First Giveaway!

Have you started preparing for the holidays yet?  I usually don't officially start until late November or early December.  But I always feel rushed.  So this year I want to start earlier.  I may not do a lot of decorating yet, but I'm definitely planning and preparing.

I love Christmas!  I always picture what I think Christmas will be like.  I look forward to enjoying special times and building memories with family and friends.  But every year I end up overwhelmed at some point by all the tasks on my Christmas to do list.

I want this year to be different.  I want to anticipate and enjoy the preparations.  There's more to this season than just a massive list of things to be done!

One thing I'm doing is starting everything earlier.
