Day 6: Decluttering "B" Things {Decluttering From A To Z}

This month I'm hosting the Decluttering From A To Z challenge.  It's a fun way to help you declutter items in your home that you may not have thought of decluttering.

If you've missed any posts you can find them all here.

Today we're decluttering items that begin with the letter B!  You can declutter anything you want that begins with B.  I'll share some ideas and you can choose any of them that resonate with you, or declutter your own ideas that begin with B.  Join in the decluttering fun!

  1. Oh the baby stuff... so hard to get rid of it! I keep saying "But WHAT IF we have another baby...!?" I've got baby clothes piled to our ceiling in the basement. And a substantial amount of toys too. I've got to find good ways to store it if we're going to keep it. We've got a storage shed we haven't taken full advantage of because I'm a bit scared to put clothes out there (due to bugs and such).

    1. Baby stuff is tough Danielle! If you have the space to store everything then it's no problem, but if you don't, it gets tricky. I'd suggest that unless you're planning to have one fairly soon, you could probably give away a lot of your stuff so that another baby could be using it instead of you storing it. Maybe loan it to a friend or relative so that you can get some of it back if needed? Or sell some of it at a moms sale or consignment shop to offset the cost of buying some things if you do have another baby. Keep some of your favourite things for now (things that you know you'll use again or that you may not be able to easily replace). And if you have another baby, you can shop at thrift stores or moms sales and buy what you need without having to store it all until then. And you'll probably get gifts for the new baby too. Good luck deciding what to do!

    1. Grab a few things and get them out of your house Cari! Much better than making your list any longer... that gets too overwhelming :)

  3. I never would have thought of decluttering by letter!

    How, though, do you declutter Bibles?

    1. It's a fun way to do it isn't it Marie? As for Bibles, do you mean why would you declutter them or where do bring them? For the why question, sometimes people just end up with a lot of Bibles they don't use. Maybe they were gifts or ones they used to use but now they have a different version they prefer. If you mean where do you bring them, there are lots of churches or mission organizations that would put them to good use.
