Day 30: Cookware {31 Days of Easy Decluttering}

Welcome back to 31 Days of Easy Decluttering!  If you've missed any of the previous posts, there are links to all of them at the end of this post or in the tab at the top of the page.

Today's Easy Decluttering Project

Today we're talking about decluttering your cookware.  Pots, pans, and casserole dishes.  Everything you use to cook with.

If you enjoy cooking and you use most of the items in your kitchen, then you may not need to purge very many items.  Take a good look though, because you probably have some favourites that you use most of the time, leaving some pieces unused.

Chances are you received a cookware set as a wedding gift, but you don't use everything in the set.  Or you've added bits and pieces through the years and don't use some of your older cookware.

Why hang onto all those dishes you aren't using?  They're taking up prime real estate in your kitchen!  Use that space for things you use all the time and declutter the items you don't use.

Day 29: Desk Drawers {31 Days of Easy Decluttering}

Welcome back to 31 Days of Easy Decluttering!  If you've missed any of the previous posts, there are links to all of them at the end of this post or in the tab at the top of the page.

Today's Easy Decluttering Project

Today we're talking about decluttering your desk drawers.  If you don't have a desk, then you can declutter whatever drawer or cabinet that you keep your office supplies or files in.

Desk drawers are helpful for keeping clutter off desk surfaces, which helps the overall room feel less cluttered.  But without a good organizational system in place, desk drawers can become dumping grounds.  Then they become chaotic and you can't find what you're looking for, which wastes time (and money if you end up buying more of something that you already have).

Let's stop the frustration, and declutter a desk drawer today!  I recommend choosing the one that frustrates you the most :)

Day 28: Coats & Jackets {31 Days of Easy Decluttering}

Welcome back to 31 Days of Easy Decluttering!  If you've missed any of the previous posts, there are links to all of them at the end of this post or in the tab at the top of the page.

Today's Easy Decluttering Project

Today we're talking about decluttering your coats and jackets.  Whether you have a hall closet, coat rack, or mud room, coats and jackets can take over and make the space cluttered.

If you can't get the jacket you want out of the closet because the hangers are so squished, it's frustrating.  When you come home, the last thing you want to do is fight to get your coat to stay on a hook that's already overflowing with coats, so when it falls on the floor for the 17th time, you just leave it there, adding to the clutter of your entryway.

So, instead of dealing with the coat clutter every day, spend 10-15 minutes decluttering your coats and jackets today and enjoy coming and going from your house more!

Day 27: T-Shirts {31 Days of Easy Decluttering}

Welcome back to 31 Days of Easy Decluttering!  If you've missed any of the previous posts, there are links to all of them at the end of this post or in the tab at the top of the page.

Today's Easy Decluttering Project

Today we're talking about decluttering your t-shirts.  Or whatever other clothes you haven't decluttered yet.  We've already discussed how to declutter your sock drawer, hanging clothes, and underwear drawer, so for most people the only clothes left are t-shirts, and maybe jeans or workout clothes.  I'll focus on t-shirts, but you can apply the same principles to decluttering any other clothes.

T-shirt drawers often get cluttered because we like to hang onto them.  They're comfortable.  We feel relaxed when we wear them and they hold positive memories.  People don't tend to outgrow t-shirts either. So we just keep accumulating t-shirts.

But, most people only wear a few of their t-shirts.  We wear our favourites, wash them, and then put them back on top of the pile.  How often do you wear the t-shirts on the bottom of your piles?

Today, take a good, honest look at your t-shirts and declutter them so you're not facing a toppling pile in your closet or an overstuffed drawer in your dresser.

Day 26: Email Inbox {31 Days of Easy Decluttering}

Welcome back to 31 Days of Easy Decluttering!  If you've missed any of the previous posts, there are links to all of them at the end of this post or in the tab at the top of the page.

Today's Easy Decluttering Project

Today we're talking about decluttering your email inbox.  It's not physical clutter, but it can be just as overwhelming.  When your inbox is overflowing, you can miss important deadlines or waste time re-reading emails before following up with them.

Now, I'm not expecting you to declutter your inbox in 10-15 minutes.  If you've got hundreds or thousands of emails to process, it will take time.  But doing 10-15 minutes every day will add up to a couple of hours a week.  Over time you'll have that inbox back to a manageable number!

Day 25: Small Appliances {31 Days of Easy Decluttering}

Welcome back to 31 Days of Easy Decluttering!  If you've missed any of the previous posts, there are links to all of them at the end of this post or in the tab at the top of the page.

Today's Easy Decluttering Project

Today we're talking about decluttering small appliances.  Do you have cupboards full of appliances you rarely use?  Or maybe even never use?  Maybe they are things you think you should use, but in real life you don't actually use them.

These small appliances take up valuable space in our kitchens and contribute to the overwhelming feeling of a cluttered home.  If you remove some of the appliances from your kitchen, you could spread out some other items and end up feeling less cluttered when you open your cabinets.  You could even move things off your counters and into cabinets so there's less visual clutter when you walk into the kitchen.

If less clutter sounds good to you, consider which of your small appliances you can declutter today!

Day 24: Laundry Room {31 Days of Easy Decluttering}

Welcome back to 31 Days of Easy Decluttering!  If you've missed any of the previous posts, there are links to all of them at the end of this post or in the tab at the top of the page.

Today's Easy Decluttering Project

Today we're talking about decluttering the laundry room.  I don't mean putting away any clean clothes or washing any dirty clothes that may be there.  {Of course, if you want to do those things you can.}  But I mean dealing with all the other things that clutter up your laundry room.

It's hard enough for most of us to be motivated to spend time in the laundry room but when it's cluttered it makes it even more overwhelming.

Laundry rooms may be in a corner of the basement and end up doubling as a storage area for things you don't use often.  Or they may be in a closet off your kitchen and wind up being a place to keep overflow kitchen items like paper towels or cases of water.  Or they may be near your garage / entry area and become a dumping ground for items that are coming and going from your home.

Wherever your laundry area is, it likely has clutter.  So let's tackle that clutter today and help make laundry a less overwhelming task!

Day 23: Bathroom Counters {31 Days of Easy Decluttering}

Welcome back to 31 Days of Easy Decluttering!  If you've missed any of the previous posts, there are links to all of them at the end of this post or in the tab at the top of the page.

Today's Easy Decluttering Project

Today we're talking about decluttering bathroom counters.  In many homes, bathroom counters become a "dumping zone" for all kinds of clutter.  Toothbrushing items, hair care products and tools, make-up, towels, bath toys, and magazines/books have probably found their way onto your bathroom counters. And if you're sharing a bathroom with several family members, the clutter is multiplied.

How do you feel when you walk into a bathroom with cluttered counters?  It happens several times a day.  It's one of the first things you see in the morning and one of the last things you see before you go to bed at night.  It becomes overwhelming.

On the other hand, how do you feel when you walk into a hotel or resort bathroom?  With very few items on the counters, there's no tension or anxiety.  It's relaxing!  And, as a bonus, it's easier to clean a bathroom when the counter is clutter free :)

So, choose a bathroom and declutter those counters today!

Day 22: Mugs {31 Days of Easy Decluttering}

Welcome back to 31 Days of Easy Decluttering!  If you've missed any of the previous posts, there are links to all of them at the end of this post or in the tab at the top of the page.

Today's Easy Decluttering Project

Today we're talking about decluttering mugs.  Do you have significantly more mugs than people in your family who use them?

I don't have stats on this or anything, but from experience, most people have say 20-30 mugs and often only 2-3 people in the family who use them.  Now, most people run their dishwasher daily, but even if they only wash dishes every 2 or 3 days, that's a lot of extra mugs!

And I've never seen an empty or even nearly empty mug shelf or cupboard.  That means there are mugs that are not needed or used.  I'd venture to say even some that are not loved.  Using the definition of clutter we've been using this month, that's mug clutter.

The worst thing about mugs is that, unlike plastic cups, they usually don't stack, so they take up a LOT of shelf space.

Think about what else you could use all that space for instead of mugs!  So let's cut the mug clutter today!

Monday, October 21, 2013

Day 21: Fridge {31 Days of Easy Decluttering}

Welcome back to 31 Days of Easy Decluttering!  If you've missed any of the previous posts, there are links to all of them at the end of this post or in the tab at the top of the page.

Today's Easy Decluttering Project

Today we're talking about decluttering the fridge.  You may not think about the contents of your fridge as clutter, but remember the definition of clutter?  Anything you don't need, use, love, or have the space to store.

Chances are, you've got some things in your fridge you don't need, use, or love.  And if you're frustrated trying to find the mayo because it's hidden behind leftovers, you may not have the space to store everything in your fridge either.

Instead of being annoyed or frustrated every time you open your fridge, spend 10-15 minutes today getting rid of your food clutter and then enjoy the feeling of being able to find what you want!

Day 20: Under The Bed {31 Days of Easy Decluttering}

Welcome back to 31 Days of Easy Decluttering!  If you've missed any of the previous posts, there are links to all of them at the end of this post or in the tab at the top of the page.

Today's Easy Decluttering Project

Today we're talking about decluttering under the bed.  This may be an easy day for you if you regularly clean underneath all the beds in your home.  But chances are, at least one bed in your house has some clutter under it.  Maybe more.  Especially if you have kids :)

It's easy to quickly toss things under the bed so the room appears clean and organized.  Trouble is, most people forget to go back and put those items away later.

The other thing you might have under your bed (if you're good at maximizing your space!) is storage bins.  If you regularly go through these bins (e.g. if you store off-season clothing in them), they are probably not very cluttered.

But, if you store items under your bed and you haven't gone through them in awhile, you likely have some clutter.  Even though you have space and your items are in bins, if you don't need, use, or love the items under your bed, they are clutter.

Whatever you have under your bed, spend 10-15 minutes today decluttering it!

Saturday, October 19, 2013

Day 19: Toys {31 Days of Easy Decluttering}

Welcome back to 31 Days of Easy Decluttering!  If you've missed any of the previous posts, there are links to all of them at the end of this post or in the tab at the top of the page.

Today's Easy Decluttering Project

Today we're talking about decluttering toys.  If you have kids, you're either cheering or groaning.  Toys seem to multiply constantly.  It's important to go through and purge your kids' toys periodically to keep the chaos to a minimum.  That way they can enjoy what they have even more!

You won't be able to go through all the toys in your house in 10-15 minutes, but choose one toy area that you think needs decluttering the most (playroom, family room, child's room, etc.).  If you're "in the zone" or have extra time you can do another area afterward!

It's up to you if you do this process with your kids or on your own.  There's great value in teaching your kids from an early age to learn to purge the things they don't need, use, love, or have space to store.  But sometimes it's faster to declutter their toys on your own.  Or maybe a first pass on your own, before going through the rest with your kids.  You know your kids and what will be best for them.  And you :)

If you don't have kids, you can use today to catch up on a decluttering task you've missed or any other area that's bugging you.

Are you ready?!  Let's declutter toys!

Day 18: Plasticware {31 Days of Easy Decluttering}

Welcome back to 31 Days of Easy Decluttering!  If you've missed any of the previous posts, there are links to all of them at the end of this post or in the tab at the top of the page.

Today's Easy Decluttering Project

Today we're talking about decluttering your plasticware.  AKA Tupperware.  Or leftover containers.  Or a massive pile of stuff that is crazy frustrating when you're trying to find the right sized container and matching lid and just when you think you've found them you get an avalanche of plastic!  You know what I mean :)

Day 17: Mail {31 Days of Easy Decluttering}

Welcome back to 31 Days of Easy Decluttering!  If you've missed any of the previous posts, there are links to all of them at the end of this post.

Today's Easy Decluttering Project

Today we're talking about decluttering your mail.  The thing about mail is it never stops.  It just keeps coming in your door... day after day.  If it's not dealt with, the mail can easily pile up and then other papers can accumulate with it.  And before you know it, you've got an overwhelming mess of paperwork!

Let's stop the madness!  Today, you'll declutter any existing piles of mail (you can include newspapers, flyers, etc. as well).  And you'll establish a plan for dealing with your mail on a daily basis so it doesn't become overwhelming again.

Wednesday, October 16, 2013

Day 16: Cooking Utensils {31 Days of Easy Decluttering}

Welcome back to 31 Days of Easy Decluttering!  If you've missed any of the previous posts, there are links to all of them at the end of this post.

Today's Easy Decluttering Project

Today we're talking about decluttering your cooking utensils and kitchen gadgets. Most people have a lot of these.  Some are used regularly and some are not.

Having too many utensils and gadgets can make it difficult to find what you're looking for when you need it.  Sometimes utensils get "lost" and you replace them, only to find the original one back later.

Let's stop wasting time and money on kitchen utensils and gadgets!  Time to declutter them :)

Remember the definition of clutter:  anything you don't need, use, love, or have the space to store!

Day 15: Catch-Up or Enjoy Yourself {31 Days of Easy Decluttering}

Welcome back to 31 Days of Easy Decluttering!  If you've missed any of the previous posts, there are links to all of them at the end of this post.

Today's Easy Decluttering Project Reward

Today you get a day off!  You've been working hard decluttering your home.  You deserve it!

One of the main reasons for decluttering is to be able to enjoy your home and your family more.  So do that today!

Day 14: Underwear Drawer {31 Days of Easy Decluttering}

 Day 14: Underwear Drawer {31 Days of Easy Decluttering} | fromoverwhelmedtoorganized.blogspot.com

Welcome back to 31 Days of Easy Decluttering!  If you've missed any of the previous posts, there are links to all of them at the end of this post.

Today's Easy Decluttering Project

Today we're talking about decluttering your underwear drawer.  Again, this is one of those places that you use every day.  So if it's cluttered it gets your day off to a frustrating start.  It's hard to find what you're looking for.  Or you don't use some items because they are buried underneath the things you wear the most.  Either way it's a waste of time or sometimes money.

Note:  Some people like having numerous bras and panties.  Other people use the same ones over and over and when they wear out they replace them with new ones.  I'm not telling you how many you should have or not have... I'm just giving you suggestions to help you decide which ones you want to keep and which ones you want to purge!  Like any of these decluttering posts, it's entirely up to you.

Just remember the definition of clutter:  anything you don't need, use, love, or have the space to store!

Sunday, October 13, 2013

Day 13: Pantry {31 Days of Easy Decluttering}

Welcome back to 31 Days of Easy Decluttering!  If you've missed any of the previous posts, there are links to all of them at the end of this post.

Today's Easy Decluttering Project

Today we're decluttering the pantry.  If you don't have a separate pantry, declutter whatever kitchen cupboard(s) you keep your food in.

Ever opened your pantry door and had boxes of macaroni fall on your head?  Or rushed out to buy more cans of something you need for dinner, thinking you were out, and then found 3 more cans buried at the back of the cupboard the next day?

Pantries need to be decluttered from time to time.  Food gets pushed to the back when we add new food and then over time we forget it's there and it expires.  Or we waste time searching for things we know we have, but just can't find.  It's all a waste of time and money.

So, take 10-15 minutes today to declutter your pantry!

Saturday, October 12, 2013

Day 12: Hanging Clothes {31 Days of Easy Decluttering}

Welcome back to 31 Days of Easy Decluttering!  If you've missed any of the previous posts, there are links to all of them at the end of this post.

Today's Easy Decluttering Project

Today we're decluttering hanging clothes.  This is one area in many homes that can become very overwhelming, because we have to deal with it on a daily basis.  We waste time trying to find something because there are too many clothes hanging in the space and they're all packed tightly together.  It makes it hard to hang clothes back up after cleaning them too.

But there's a saying that we wear 20% of our clothing 80% of the time.  I never thought about it before but I started to watch my own clothing habits and those of the rest of my family, and it's so true!  We have our favourites and we wear them the most often.  The rest of our closets are filled with clothes we rarely wear.

But it doesn't make sense to keep all those clothes we hardly ever wear if it makes our day-to-day lives more overwhelming!  It's so much better to look in a less cluttered closet and feel peaceful when choosing what we want to wear.  Nicer way to start a day, don't you think?!

OK, so choose any closet in your home and go through the hanging clothing today!

Friday, October 11, 2013

Day 11: CD's or DVD's {31 Days of Easy Decluttering}

Welcome back to 31 Days of Easy Decluttering!  If you've missed any of the previous posts, there are links to all of them at the end of this post.

Today's Easy Decluttering Project

Today we're decluttering CD or DVD collections.  If you don't have very many in either collection you can do both. But I'm guessing most of us will only be able to tackle either CD's or DVD's today.

CD's and DVD's can take up a lot of space on shelves or in entertainment units.  Many people are moving to digital entertainment, but others like displaying their large collections that they've taken years to build.  Chances are though, you've got some CD's or DVD's that you no longer need, use, love, or have the space to store, which makes them clutter.

Thursday, October 10, 2013

Day 10: Expired Medications {31 Days of Easy Decluttering}

Welcome back to 31 Days of Easy Decluttering!  If you've missed any of the previous posts, there are links to all of them at the end of this post.

Today's Easy Decluttering Project

Today we're decluttering expired medications.  Unless you are very vigilant about tossing medications before their expiration dates, chances are you have several bottles in your medicine cabinet that should be disposed of.

You're not alone though.  Apparently at the last DEA National Prescription Take-Back Day in April, over 371 tons of prescription medications were collected from the public!  That's a lot of unused medications. I haven't found stats for Canada, but with most pharmacies taking back expired medications, I'm sure lots of have been collected as well.

It's important not to take any medications after their expiry date because their chemical composition has changed and they may have become more or less potent.  It's also important to properly dispose of expired medications to protect the environment and keep the people or animals in your home or neighbourhood safe.

Plus, it will be easier to find what you need in your medicine cabinet if it's not cluttered with expired medication bottles.

Day 9: Night Table {31 Days of Easy Decluttering}

Welcome back to 31 Days of Easy Decluttering!  If you've missed any of the previous posts, there are links to them all at the end of this post.

Today's Easy Decluttering Project

Today we're decluttering our night tables.  It's easy for nightstands to become dumping grounds because they are flat surfaces right beside our beds.  Our bedrooms should be places we can relax and unwind and it's hard to do that when we're faced with a cluttered bedside table.

Tuesday, October 8, 2013

Day 8: Travel Mugs and Water Bottles {31 Days of Easy Decluttering}

Welcome back to 31 Days of Easy Decluttering!  Are you feeling less cluttered already?  I hope so!

Throughout this series I'm sharing easy decluttering projects that you can complete in 10-15 minutes.  If you do them, then by the end of the month you'll be enjoying a less cluttered home!

If you've missed any of the previous posts, there are links to all of them at the end of this post.

Some days you may not need to spend much time on on the task, if you've already kept that space clutter free.  Or maybe you just need to take a quick sweep of the area to remove a few things.  If that's the case then you can take it easy for a day, or go back and finish another project in the series!

Today's Easy Decluttering Project

Today we're decluttering travel mugs and water bottles.  I think those things multiply like rabbits!  Every event seems to have a sponsor handing out water bottles or travel mugs.  Plus when family members play sports they get them at tournaments.  It's a practical gift, but too many of them become clutter.

How many times have you opened your cupboard and had 4 travel mugs fall off the shelf onto your head?  Or reached for a sports bottle and knocked over 7 others (like dominoes)?  Yep... you've got travel mug / water bottle clutter.

Monday, October 7, 2013

Day 7: Magazines {31 Days of Easy Decluttering}

Welcome back to 31 Days of Easy Decluttering! Can you believe we're into week 2 of the series?  Are you feeling less cluttered already?  I hope so!

Throughout this series I'm sharing easy decluttering projects that you can complete in 10-15 minutes.  If you do them, then by the end of the month you'll be enjoying a less cluttered home!

If you've missed any of the previous posts, there are links to all of them at the end of this post.

Today's Easy Decluttering Project

Today we're decluttering magazines.  For some people this may be a super easy task.  For others it may be a tougher one.

Magazines are great for ideas, articles, and inspiration.  And if you have a good system for pulling out and organizing the pages you want to save, then they are a helpful resource.  As long as you get rid of the rest of the magazine.  Every single time.

Otherwise magazines become clutter.

Day 6: Sheets {31 Days of Easy Decluttering}

Welcome back to 31 Days of Easy Decluttering! Throughout this series I'm sharing easy decluttering projects that you can complete in 10-15 minutes.  If you do them, then by the end of the month you'll be enjoying a less cluttered home!

Today's Easy Decluttering Project

Today we're decluttering sheets.  Open any linen closet and often you'll find sheets falling off the shelves.  Or if you store sheets in bedrooms, then there are likely sheets hanging off the shelves in your bedroom closet, or overflowing in a dresser drawer.   Why is that?

For one thing, we often keep old sheets when we get new ones.  So over time we end up with multiple sets of sheets for each bed.  People also like variety (just like with clothes or shoes) so they want to have several sets of sheets to choose from.

But I want to tell you something earth-shattering.  It'll blow your mind.  Are you ready for it?  Here it is...

We can only use one set of sheets on each bed at a time.

I'll let that sink in for a minute.

Yep... it's true.  Each bed can only use one set of sheets at a time.

Day 5: Shoes {31 Days of Easy Decluttering}

Welcome back to 31 Days of Easy Decluttering! Throughout this series I'm sharing easy decluttering projects that you can complete in 10-15 minutes.  If you do them, then by the end of the month you'll be enjoying a less cluttered home!

If you've missed any of the previous posts, there are links to all of them at the end of this post.

Today's Easy Decluttering Project

Today we're decluttering shoes.  I'm focusing mainly on the day-to-day shoes near the entry or in a hall closet.  Those should only take 10-15 minutes to declutter.

If you want to also tackle any shoes stored in your bedroom closet(s), you can apply the same decluttering tips for those shoes too.  Since it's the weekend I thought I'd offer you an extension task :)

Entryways can easily become cluttered with shoes so it's good to go through them a few times a year.  That keeps the shoe clutter under control, which helps us get in and out of the door with less stress.

Day 4: Coffee Table {31 Days of Easy Decluttering}

Day 4: Coffee Table {31 Days of Easy Decluttering} | fromoverwhelmedtoorganized.blogspot.ca

Welcome back to 31 Days of Easy Decluttering! Throughout this series I'm sharing easy decluttering projects that you can complete in 10-15 minutes.  If you do them, then by the end of the month you'll be enjoying a less cluttered home!

If you've missed any of the previous posts, there are links to them all at the end of this post.

Today's Easy Decluttering Project

Today we're decluttering coffee tables.  AKA clutter magnets!  Remotes, magazines, mail, newspapers, pens, toys, books, tablets, and all sorts of other things are drawn to a flat surface like a coffee table.

I mean it's right there in the middle of your living room or family room... just waiting for stuff to be dumped on it, isn't it?!

But all that stuff on the table becomes visual clutter.  It's stressful.  And then things get buried under other things and you have to waste time searching for them.  Or bills are forgotten and you have to pay late fees.

If you don't have a coffee table, you probably have another surface in your living room or family room that is cluttered.  Maybe an end table, entertainment unit, mantle, or even the floor!

Check out this old picture.  Talk about your cluttered surfaces!

Day 3: Junk Drawer {31 Days of Easy Decluttering}

Welcome back to 31 Days of Easy Decluttering! Throughout this series I'm sharing easy decluttering projects that you can complete in 10-15 minutes.  If you do them, then by the end of the month you'll be enjoying a less cluttered home!

Today's Easy Decluttering Project

Sock drawers and toiletries were a great warm-up.  Now we're getting to the good stuff  :)

Today we're decluttering junk drawers.  Or as I like to call them:  multi-purpose drawers.  Others call them everything drawers.  I mean why are you keeping "junk" in a drawer?

Everyone's got at least one of these drawers.  Filled with all kinds of stuff.  Things like tools, chargers, stationery, stamps, pens, pencils, coupons, elastics, paper clips, take-out menus, batteries.  You know what I'm talking about.

If you've missed any of the previous posts, there are links at the end of this post.

Today's Easy Decluttering Project

Today we're decluttering toiletries.  You know, the little bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, and mouthwash from your last few vacations and business trips?  Or partially used bottles of hairspray or mousse that you bought and used a few times but didn't like for whatever reason?

Day 1: Sock Drawer {31 Days of Easy Decluttering}

Day 1: Sock Drawer {31 Days of Easy Decluttering} | fromoverwhelmedtoorganized.blogspot.com

Welcome to 31 Days of Easy Decluttering! Throughout this series I'm sharing easy decluttering projects that you can complete in 10-15 minutes.  If you do them, then by the end of the month you'll be enjoying a less cluttered home!

If you missed the introductory post, you can read it here.  I'll have a running list of all the daily posts on there.  You can also see them at the end of each post.

Today's Easy Decluttering Project

Today we're decluttering your sock drawer.  Yep... we're starting there!  I was going to start with your undergarments drawer, but I thought that might be a bit too personal :)

But your sock drawer is something you go into on a regular, if not daily, basis.  If it's cluttered, it can get your whole day off to a grumpy start.  And when you think of decluttering, it's probably not one of the first places you run off to do!

Do you have to rummage through your sock drawer to find a matching pair of socks?  Do you wear the same few pairs of socks over and over because they're the ones you see at the top of your drawer all the time?  Is the drawer so full you have to squish the socks down to close it?

Then you will love decluttering your sock drawer!  {Note:  I'm referring to socks in this post, but I'm including hosiery as well.  Or anything you wear on your feet - except shoes - that's another post!}
